Profile: I am currently working as an administrative assistant. I finished college about a year ago with a degree in English language and literature and I wanted initially to be a writer, or in publishing of some form. I have yet to find an opportunity. And that's what I'm looking for. I don't want to be an admin for much longer, if I can help it. I want to be able to use what I learned in college in my career and I want to work with the written word. It's always been a huge passion of mine and I want it to continue to be. When I'm not at work, I can be found playing my violin in the local symphony, or by myself, accompanying a choir on the piano, teaching music lessons to kids. I like to have coffee with my friends, get involved in book clubs and piano quartets, and attend local fiction readings. I'm young, very fresh out of college, and still looking for my place in the world. Thanks for looking! Hide

Profile: I'm a Managing Editor at a major men's publication. I love it there, but I think it's about time I expand my horizons.
With my current publication, I oversee all copy editing and proof reading, the design layout, and I'm also responsible for a heavy amount of the writing process. In addition to the editorial side of the magazine, I also have to speak with the legal department and make sure that the magazine is suitable for our overseas readers, since their guidelines are sometimes different from those of the United States.
When I'm not working as a Managing Editor, I also freelance at a heavy metal Magazine called Metal Edge. I've been into tthat type of music since my older brother got me hooked when I was about four.
As I said before, I love the editorial side of the publishing spectrum, but I would love to further my career in any other realm of the publishing inudsty, still, though, as an editor.
