The City of Vacaville is recruiting to fill current non-benefited, part-time positions of Lifeguard/Swim Instructor I and to establish a list of qualified applicants for possible future job openings throughout the Summer of 2008. The School Crossing Guard works independently, in the absence of direct supervision, to safely cross pedestrians at assigned intersections, before and after school. The position requires standing for an extended period of time while holding a stop sign in the air in a position visible to drivers; safely crosses all pedestrians in cross walks; uses non-verbal signals to get and keep the attention
