G&K Services, Inc. is a provider of branded identity apparel and facility services programs. The Company serves a variety of North American industrial, service and high-technology companies, providing them with rented uniforms and facility services products, such as floor mats, dust mops, wiping towels, restroom supplies and selected linen items. G&K Services, Inc. also sells uniforms and other apparel items to customers in its direct sale programs. As of July 2, 2005, the Company operated over 140 locations in North America and served over 160,000 customers, from Fortune 100 companies to small and mid-size firms. In August 2004, G&K Services, Inc. acquired Keefer Laundry Ltd. In October 2004, it purchased certain industrial rental assets and customers of Marathon Linen, Inc. In December 2004, the Company acquired the direct sale uniform group and related assets from Lion Apparel, Inc. In 2005, it acquired Custom Linen Systems, Ltd. and certain assets from Coyne Textile Services. For the nine months ended 1 April 2006, G&K Services, Inc.'s revenues increased 12% to $653.4M. Net income increased 8% to $31M. Revenue reflects an increase in sales from rental operations and direct sales. Net income was partially offset by an increase in cost of rental operations, higher cost of direct sales, an increase in selling & administrative expense, higher depreciation & amortization expense and an increase in interest expense.
