S1 Corporation (S1) is a global provider of software solutions for financial organizations including banks, credit unions, investment firms and insurance companies. The Company operates in two segments: financial institutions, and risk and compliance. The financial institutions segment develops software that helps banks service their customers on both a self-service and full-service capacity. S1's risk and compliance segment, primarily its financial reporting solutions business (FRS), develops software that helps banks comply with regulatory authorities' requirements. In addition to providing maintenance, support, enhancements and implementation services related to its software, S1 hosts the software for its bank customers in its datacenter. On December 30, 2005, the Company sold its Edify business to Intervoice, Inc. On July 16, 2005, S1 purchased substantially all of the assets of Providus Software Solutions, Inc. For the three months ended 31 March 2006, S1 Corporation's revenues decreased 13% to $48.5M. Net loss from cont. ops. totaled $998K vs. an income of $730K. Revenues reflect decreased revenues from Software Licenses, Support & Maintenance and Professional Services segments. Net loss reflects increased operating losses, the presence of restructuring costs and higher amortization of other intangible assets.
