1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc. is a multi-channel gift retailer, providing a range of gift solutions and products, including flowers, gourmet foods, baked goods, candies, wine, gift baskets, stuffed animals and various other gifts for every occasion. The Company's principal brand, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, offers fresh-cut flowers, individually created florist-designed arrangements and hand-delivered the same day, or delivered through the Company's Fresh From Our Growers program. The 1-800-FLOWERS.COM collection of brands also includes home decor and garden merchandise from Plow & Hearth; premium popcorn and specialty treats from The Popcorn Factory; cookies and baked gifts from Cheryl Co.; gourmet foods from GreatFood.com; children's gifts from HearthSong and Magic Cabin; and wine gifts from The Winetasting Network. For the nine months ended 2 April 2006, 1-800-Flowers.com's revenues increased 18% to $570.6M. Net income decreased 45% to $2.2M. Revenues reflect increase in sales to online customers, higher income from telephonic customers and increased retail sales. Net income was offset by higher cost of revenues, increased marketing & sales expenses, higher technology & development expenses and higher general & administrative expenses.
