AT&T Inc. (AT&T), formerly known as SBC Communications Inc., is primarily a holding company that provides telecommunications services in the United States and worldwide. Through its subsidiaries, the Company operates in six segments: wireline, AT&T Corp., Cingular, directory, international and other. AT&T completed the acquisition of AT&T Corp. (ATTC) on November 18, 2005. Through it subsidiaries and affiliates, the Company provides communications services and products in the United States and in 240 countries. The services and products offered by AT&T include local exchange services, wireless communications, long-distance services, data/broadband and Internet services, telecommunications equipment, managed networking, wholesale transport services, and directory advertising and publishing. The Company offers its services and products to consumers in the United States, and services and products to businesses and other providers of telecommunications services worldwide. For the six months ended 30 June 2006, AT&T Inc.'s revenues increased 54% to $31.61B. Net income increased 73% to $3.25B. Revenues reflect higher sales due to acquisition of ATTC, increased sales from Data division and higher sales from Voice division. Net income also reflects an increase in operating margins and increased equity income of affiliates. The Company provides communications services & products in U.S.
