XOMA Ltd. is a biopharmaceutical company in the field of therapeutic antibody discovery and development. In addition to supporting its product pipeline, the Company uses its infrastructure to provide process development and manufacturing services on a fee-for-service basis. For the three months ended 31 March 2006, Xoma Limited's revenues increased 87% to $5.6M. Net loss totaled $20.6M, vs. an income of $30.1M. Revenues reflect higher contract revenues due to increased contract manufacturing services performed under the contract with the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases("NIAID"). Net loss reflects increased research & development expenses and higher general & administrative expenses.
