Marriott International, Inc. is a worldwide operator and franchiser of hotels and related lodging facilities. In addition, the Company provides 1,850 furnished corporate housing rental units. For the twenty four weeks ended 16 June 2006, Marriott International Inc.'s revenues increased 7% to $5.56B. Net income before cumulative effect of accounting change increased 26% to $356M. Revenues reflect increased REVPAR & occupancy levels resulting in higher revenues from the Full-Service, Select-Service, Timeshare and Extended-Stay lodging segments. Net income also reflects improved operating margins and higher gains & other income.
