Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Principal Process Safety Engineer at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
This position is responsible for providing process safety support to the HyCO Product Supply Team (PST), which designs and engineers hydrogen, syngas, and carbon monoxide production plants and pipelines. The position reports directly to the HyCO Process Technology Lead, and functionally to the Global Manager of Process Safety.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Performing process hazard reviews with the project team and with interfacing customers and suppliers
• Performing building siting reviews and participating in facility layout reviews and Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA’s)
• Performing consequence modeling for potential gas dispersion, thermal radiation, and chemical and physical blast events
