Job Description and Qualifications Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Technician at our Port Arthur, Texas facility.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The basic function of this Role is to provide necessary technical and hands on support to continuously improve plant instrument/electrical and DCS equipment integrity, reliability, cost and on stream factor.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES:

* Participate actively in department/plant safety programs. Promote safety rules and regulations
* Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure, and recommend appropriate solutions to reduce reoccurrence of/or eliminate cause of failure.
* Recommend and specify alterations and revisions to improve equipment requirement and/or system reliability/capacity.
* Provide hands on support as required to resolve Instrument/Electrical field problems as they occur.
