The IT Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability and security of the network and its resources to end-users. This person will carry out technical, nonroutine installation and maintenance of network hardware and software, such as servers, operating systems, storage devices, switches, and end-user equipment. This person is also responsible for providing user-level network services, such as assigning passwords and accounts, administering e-mail, setting permissions, and desktop applications support.
Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include: * Communicate any changes to peers and department manager 1 week prior. * Log all changes in the IT HelpDesk Ticketing System RT. * Timely installation and configuration of system software and hardware. * System Uptime on VPN, Email, File Server, LAN and Voice systems. * Apply Critical patches to network switches and servers quarterly. * Respond to and Resolve Remote Connectivity issues as they occur. * Document new procedures and configurations. * Update Software License List. * Assist with end user training on related technology (Remote Access, VPN,.etc). * Maintain Server/Switch/Router Inventory List. *...
