Position Requirements
Supervises assigned personnel. (See attached description of Supervisory Responsibilities.) Ensures that training programs are properly utilized. Authorizes and/or approves all claims payments in conformity with established limits of authority. Submits cases exceeding own authority with personal recommendation to the appropriate Director. Reviews and resolves coverage matters within authority. Oversees the preparation and control of the budget, quarterly operations and strategic business plan for the CSC or COE. Reviews the settlement/collection activity for the Claims Service Center Office or Center of Excellence, service, supervision, and security. May oversee equitable collections of all claims in accordance with the terms of each insurance policy and in conformity with applicable laws, regulations, policies, practices, standards, and procedures to achieve the highest possible claims collections consistent with Company policy.
