Directs, supervises, evaluates and provides occupational therapy services to patients in the home as
prescribed by the attending physician. Essential Job Duties
1.
Reviews physician's referral and patient's condition and medical records to determine occupational
therapy treatment desired. 2. Designs a treatment plan consistent with the goals for the patient after needed consultation with the
physician. 3. Employs therapeutic measures to restore maximum function of the upper extremities.
4. Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefits.
5. Instructs patient and family in continued treatment procedures.
6. Supervises Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an occupational therapy school approved by the Council of
Medical Education of A.M.A. in collaboration with the American Occupational Therapy Association. Experience
One year institutional experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Licensed or registered by the state served by the agency.
