Quality Engineering Technician II · Devens, MA
The Quality Engineering Technician applies best practices from within the field of quality control to insure that the materials, components, processes, and manufacturing techniques used to produce Evergreen Solar modules are consistent with Evergreen Solar's standards of high quality. The Quality Engineering technician carries out and supports the quality specifications, material review board requirements, calibration maintenance and overall day quality operations.
Responsibilities:
Executes daily quality control activities concerned with material and application of quality standards.
Interface with the quality engineering, manufacturing, process engineering, and purchasing groups to review and resolve material issues.
Handle and coordinate the logistics of non-conforming material, including on-line system reporting and support MRB meeting requirements
Coordinate all internal calibration equipment for periodic time standards, maintain online master database for accuracy and service requirements.
Coordinate with external supplier calibration services and work with engineering departments as required to resolve out of calibration issues.
