Supervises and directs the adjustment and administration of claims in an assigned area (involving specialization in or any combination of liability, property, auto physical damage, subrogation, salvage, workersÆ compensation or med/PIP). Participates directly in the handling of complex or unusual claims. Will also be required to maintain an active adjusterÆs license in states where required.

Position Requirements

Supervises assigned personnel. (See attached description of Supervisory Responsibilities.) Conducts case reviews and evaluates Claims or Subrogation Representative performance by continuous review of claims or recovery statistics, open and closed file evaluations, and observation of activities in the office. Reviews the settlement or referral activity in assigned area to ensure sound systems, service, and security. Sets and adjusts claim reserves within authority. May approve subrogation settlements within authority. May be held accountable for meeting collection or salvage goals, as applicable. Responsible for compliance with published company procedures.
