R & D Technician III · Marlboro, MA
The R&D Technician operates and maintains processing and test equipment and carries out experiments in support of engineering staff on R&D projects that advance the solar panel technology of the company. A successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated skill in operation of complex equipment and the ability to diligently follow operating and test procedures, record data, and track job progress. The R&D Technician also contributes to the success of R&D projects through observation of problems or potential improvements in R&D equipment and procedures and by communicating these to the engineering staff. The R&D Technician should have extensive experience with semiconductor or similar industrial equipment and processing, as well as strong troubleshooting skills.

* Carry out R&D tests according to engineering instructions, and accurately record and communicate test results to the project engineer.
* Build R&D solar panels of various sizes and formats including the following steps: organize, test, and bin cells, secure panel materials, perform interconnection and layout, encapsulation, framing, junction box...
