The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a well-established not-for-profit social science research and development organization. AIRâ??s Federal Statistics Program works with the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), which is the federal governmentâ??s primary source for collecting and analyzing statistical data about public education in the United States and around the world. We are currently seeking a Research Assistant for our Statistical Standards task, to provide methodological and statistical support to NCES.

Responsibilities:
The candidate will provide support for technical review activities, including reviewing draft NCES products (reports, data files, file documentation, and web sites) for statistical soundness and, in particular, for consistency with the NCES Statistical Standards (see http://www.thecre.com/pdf/20021014_ed-nces-standards-final.pdf)and Institute of Education Sciences (IES) Style Guide(see http://nces.ed.gov/statprog/styleguide/pdf/styleguide.pdf).
