Responsible for compiling and organizing accurate statistical data on oncology patients diagnosed and/or
treated at Amos Cancer Center. Maintains data and provides appropriate reports and patient care evaluation
studies.
Essential Job Duties

1.

Maintains cancer registry following the standards of the Commission on Cancer of the American

College of Surgeons (ACOS).
2.
Coordinates meetings for Oncology Committee, Tumor Board and Oncology Conference.

3.
Produces and distributes annual reports and patient care evaluation studies.

4.
Monitors quality assurance from findings in registry.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Associate’s degree in an Allied Health field is preferred.

Experience

Two years’ experience in cancer registry, registered health information

technician (RHIT), or coding is preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or must obtain certification within two

years.

Skills

Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets; ability to analyze data

and statistics. Knowledge of coding and staging classification (ICD-9,
ICD-0, AJC).
