AIG Private Client Group’s portfolio of insurance products includes excess liability, homeowners, automobile, private collections, excess flood, yacht, aviation, and kidnap and ransom.
The primary purpose of this position is to manage, supervise and lead a team of underwriters and underwriting associates for a specific geographic region or territory. This person is ultimately responsible for achieving profitable underwriting results and meeting or exceeding established growth targets for the assigned territories. Regional Underwriting Manager will have independent control of the terms and conditions released on large lines of business. They will direct and influence the underwriting strategy for their given geographic territory
• Manage underwriting referrals on new business from assigned underwriters and associates
• Place reinsurance on large accounts
• Perform performance appraisals on all assigned underwriters and associates and address performance issues
