The American Hospital Association (AHA) is the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. We are currently seeking an Executive Director in our ASHRM group.
Business Purpose
Develops and implements the PMG's strategic plan; organizes, directs, and evaluates staff, programs and activities of the Society, within Association policies and within the Society's bylaws and policies; and achieves the mission, goals and objectives of the Society in collaboration with the Board of Directors and the AHA in the most cost-effective manner possible.
Essential Functions
Serves as primary liaison to the Society's Board of Directors. Prepares the agenda for, attends and facilitates board meetings, including keeping the board focused on issues which fall within board roles and responsibilities. Communications to the appropriate parties within the Association, all requests from the Society's Board for policy statements and positions which impact on Association policies and positions.
