Surgical Services Patient Care Director · Tawas City, MI
Description:
Reports to VP of Patient Care Services.
Will perform variety of management and professional duties such as supervising and evaluating the work effort of department personnel; scheduling, orienting and training, interviewing and selecting applicants; preparing and submitting yearly budgets, developing and maintaining departmental policies and procedures, ensuring equipment is maintained and operational; resolving interdepartmental problems with physicians and other areas within the hospital, and providing updates as requested.
Performs functions of a licensed professional, as necessary, and other related duties as requested by authorized personnel. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe facility.
Assures department meets all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
RN with a Master’s degree in nursing and/or health care administration or Business.
Experience:
Individual must have at least 5-10 years experience in directing surgical services. This must be in smaller departments with similar configurations, services, volumes, etc.
Licensure/Registration/Certifications:
Must possess a current Michigan RN licensure.
