Description:
This is a new position created to enhance research activity at the St.Vincent Bariatric Center of Excellence. Our center is located just north of Indianapolis in Carmel, Indiana and has one of the highest surgical volumes in the country. Our expanding surgical and non-surgical programs provide many opportunities for different types of scientific investigations related to obesity. The successful applicant will provide guidance and oversight for projects (such as outcomes research), important for clinical growth. In addition, self-initiated projects will be encouraged. This position is funded by the Bariatric Center but external funding will be encouraged to subsidize future growth of personnel.
Responsibilities:
Assist and guide data collection methods, data management and data reporting in the form of peer-reviewed publications. Provide basic statistical support and creation of data collection tools. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other team members to coordinate research activities within a clinical setting.
