California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Environmental Design. The University is seeking a dynamic leader who can build on the accomplishments of the College, strengthen relationships with external constituencies and articulate a vision of the College’s role in art, planning and design education.

The Position: The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: a strong commitment to academic excellence; a record of accomplishment in scholarship and/or practice that merits appointment at full professor level in one of the four departments in the College; demonstrated leadership abilities in an academic or professional context; knowledge and appreciation of all the disciplines within the College; the ability to foster and promote an environment supportive of a diverse student body, faculty and staff; and demonstrated ability to succeed in fundraising. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary programs, community outreach, international programs and environmental sustainability.
