Description:
* The Fire Protection Engineer will work under the nominal supervision of a Senior Fire Engineer, and will be required to travel and work independently.
* Work location can be anywhere in the world with the majority of the work in the Continental US.
* Perform fire protection and life safety engineering reviews of facility construction and facility project designs to insure that they comply with applicable regulations and standards.
* Assess fire protection detection and suppression systems (infrastructure) at multiple DOD and civilian installations.
* Perform facility fire protection system certification inspections.
* Investigate fire-related incidents and write and submit reports as requested.
Required:
*
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering is required, specialization in fire engineering is desireable.
* Engineering Professional registration is required with at least 4 years experience required.
* Successful passage of the Fire Protection Engineering PE Exam, or a professional grade membership in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers is mandatory.
* Proficiency with NFPA Codes and Standards is required.
* Proficiency with the MicroSoft Office suite...
