Performs a variety of activities that supports the Nursing and medical staff .
Position requires: lifting, carrying up to 60 lbs., pushing, pulling up to 61 or more lbs., bending, stooping, reading above shoulder level, walking, standing, sitting, and exposure to toxic/hazardous conditions.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Accredited SAMA certification preferred. Must demonstrate competency in patient confidentiality, infection control, specimen collection, vital signs, back safety, moving/lifting techniques, documentation, height/weight and feeding skills.
One (1) year Psychiatric Technician experience preferred.
SAMA certification required prior to completion of orientation.
