This position is located in a correctional facility and works with and supervises offender workers in a correctional setting.

DUTIES: Position performs food service duties and supervises offenders completing various tasks in an industrial kitchen to insure the most economical, safe, and secure operation in all phases of food service production to include preparation, portioning, safety, and sanitation. Food service operations offer a full range menu and prepare foods from raw materials and utilize large scale menus and ingredients to prepare foods from scratch. Food preparation may include regular, special, religious, and modified diets and service 300 to 7,000 meals on a daily basis. Position ensures that all applicable rules, regulations, and/or codes are observed and adhered to at all time. The position conducts formal and informal counts and searches of inmates; schedules work assignments, completes offender and staff time sheets, activity reports, payroll, and offender disciplinary violation reports. Position will resolves offender grievances informally and insures proper tool control procedures are maintained.
