Job Description
Working with the Ethics & Compliance Officer, the Director, Ethics & Compliance will develop and manage Abbott’s Corporate Compliance Initiative and ensure that Abbott and its employees consistently adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements. The Director will:
1) implement written policies and procedures,
2) conduct effective training and education,
3) develop effective lines of communication,
4) conduct internal monitoring and auditing,
5) enforce standards through well-publicized disciplinary guidelines, and
6) respond promptly to detected problems and undertake corrective action as appropriate
To lead the development of appropriate policies/procedures, the Director must understand the Legal, business, compliance and HR implications of each area to be addressed, and coordinate and guide these and other functions, as required.
