Product Risk Manager · New York, NY
Position Objective:
* Provide direction and guidance on all SFS Fund Services products and provide input on operational risk issues
* Concentration in Fund Services (Fund Admin, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency) products. Servicing Registered Funds and the Alternative Investment community, such as Private Equity, Hedge Funds, and Fund of Hedge Funds
* Actively identify and respond to all front-office control issues
* Actively promote a risk and control culture
* Provide regular ongoing support for senior managers and the business
* Provide direction and guidance to newly acquired businesses
Key Responsibilities:
* Clear understanding of legal/regulatory environment
* Participate and provide direction in Deal Reviews
* Review and approve as appropriate non-standard contracts
* Review and Approve Product Programs
* Proven leadership ability
* Ability to analyze risk metrics and translate into predictive data and action plans that anticipate and mitigate risk exposure
* Strong communication and written skills
* Ability to lead or participate in cross-functional project teams
