Role synopsis The Financial Analyst is a member of Benefits Accounting team responsible for the trust, financial and regulatory reporting for BP's U.S. benefit plans. The role will include a wide range of activities and systems that are critical for the regulatory reporting for the pension plans. The analyst will interact with actuaries, auditors, third-party administrators, financial institutions, and governmental entities.
Key accountabilities ?Prepare annual financial statements for pension plans
?Coordinate annual pension audit
?Prepare and coordinate governmental report filings for pension plans
?Monitor trust activities monthly
?Perform reconciliations with administrator and trustee
?Provide monthly management information to Trust Investments
?Identify and implement required governmental reporting changes
?Identify and implement new accounting standards applicable to benefit plans
?Lead in implementing electronic filing of Form 5500s
