PURPOSE STATEMENT
Responsible for Product Development SAP database activities. Supports procurement of the services, materials, components, and equipment that is required for Product Development. Checks requisitions, obtains quotations, examines bids, and makes awards. As required, monitors the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. May evaluate vendor reliability. Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services (e.g., raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, travel services) and ensures that items and services purchased are of high quality, on time and at the lowest total price.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supports the development and updating of the Bill of Materials of new products for all product development phases.
· Enters SAP Control codes in Material Master for new product development components (storage, temperature, expiration dates).
· Enters SAP Source list data for new product development components.
· Provides SAP reporting on delivery dates, inventory, component location, price, lead-time to PD and Transfer Teams.
