Technician II, Process Development · Wayne, NJ
Job Purpose:
With general supervisory direction, assist Process Development engineers/teams in the development of products, processes and equipment.
Position Responsibilities: (Key responsibilities, authorities, and inter-relationships)
* Collects data and performs basic statistical analysis for process characterization and scrap reduction goals.
* Coordinates process development builds, including procurement of needed components and ensuring proper documentation is followed.
* Supports equipment/fixture development from simple production aids to full automation.
* Executes and documents equipment qualifications (plans, builds, and reports).
* Assists in writing new detailed processes and implementing changes to existing documentation.
* Performs DOE/process characterization builds on pilot line.
* Interfaces with other departments to obtain/deliver materials and information.
* Generates new ideas for improving processes.
* Trains production trainers/operators/manufacturing technicians on new processes.
* Provides floor support for new product builds (e.g., troubleshoots equipment and manufacturing problems).
