1. Direct overall application of quality programs, control audits and reports, ensuring thorough completion in a timely manner to include one or more departments, and to achieve annual/strategic goals & objectives. Manage the quality control process and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting. Recommend/set guidelines (in accordance with corporate policies and procedures), on the most complicated issues.
2. Directs and coordinates activities of department/function/group managers and staff. Includes interviewing, hiring, performance evaluation, incentive plans/bonus awards, promotions, and counseling of staff. Manages by prioritizing & allocating department staff resources in support of goals & objectives. Makes decisions regarding composition and direction of staff. Actively trains, develops and counsels managers & staff in their professional, technical and personal career development.
3. Provides leadership on key department projects including development of project implementation plans/schedules, resource requirements, and deployment/allocation of resources. Manage projects that drive continuous quality process improvement and reporting.
