Blue Shield is currently looking for a Contract Writer to join our team. The position will be reporting to the Team Leader for Custom Accounts within our Customer Contract Development department.
This position is based out of our San Francisco Headquarters.
Job duties include the following:
• Assists in writing and distribution of booklets and contracts for all Blue Shield products and lines of business.
• Assists in selection or development of appropriate contract clauses, revising existing contracts based on renegotiated provisions.
• Composes drafts detailing benefits and exclusions on contracts, endorsements, policies and certificates.
• Analyzes resources and technical materials to develop Evidence of Coverage booklets, benefit inserts, disclosure forms and other related printed materials.
• Assists in determination of material layout.
• Enters new and revised drafts for production.
• Confers with outside printers and vendors regarding manuscript changes.
