Overview:
The Participant Services Representative is responsible for providing quality information to Ascension Health Pension Plan participants and for identifying and recommending ways to improve processes or services. In this role, the individual will focus on administering the Ascension Health Pension Plans, with activities ranging from collecting demographic information, calculating benefits, interacting with plan participants, and facilitating the retirement process. In addition, this individual will periodically travel to Health Ministries to attend Benefit Fairs.
Responsibilities:
The Participant Services Representative assists with obtaining data needed from all entities for pension administration. This associate also assists with problem resolution and data signoffs/edits/corrections to maintain data integrity; calculates and verifies pension benefits and payment worksheets; effectively utilizes benefit administration technology to ensure appropriate efficiency and researches pension plan provisions and pension law, as necessary, to ensure accurate completion of complex pension calculations.
