The selected applicant will direct the operations of the metabolomics core facility at Lake Nona.  He/she will be responsible for managing the day to day operations including project prioritization, work flow deliverables, quality control measures, laboratory supply procurement and equipment maintenance.  Transfer of existing LC/MS and GC/MS methods from external academic collaborators, as well as development of novel mass spectrometry-based methods for new analytes is a key responsibility.  In addition, the selected candidate will serve as a champion for the metabolomics core facility and interact with the BIMR investigators to identify opportunities for collaboration.

Required Skills

Proven expertise in mass spectrometry and method development for a variety of different analytes. Excellent time management skillls and the ability to multitask with respect to varied project assignments.  Demonstrated ability to supervise research associates.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact collaboratively with multidisciplinary scientists.
