POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the facility maintenance supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of multi-disciplinary trades coordinating and supervising the work of employees of the Maintenance Department at a retirement community. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, carpentry, locksmith, painting, heating plant , and related systems.
JOB FUNCTION
* Supervises and assigns daily tasks to facilities employees
* Prepare work schedules and set priorities to ensure the workflow meets or exceeds requirements
* Oversee and inspect quality of workmanship of employees and contractors
* Ensures that staff are trained in complex maintenance activities and are following standard operating procedures and safety practices
* Develop and maintain a productive work team by training and the professional development of the team
* Provides input into the development of the operating budget
