KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop private label merchandise for all applicable brands and product categories in accordance with: Apparel PD Calendar. Post-mortem analysis. Good, better, best brand strategies.
* Build a strong working relationship with buyers and all Infant Apparel team members.
* Research the market: Trend and color research, New product ideas, Shop print studios, Competitive shopping.
* Attend industry trade shows as necessary.
* Manage freelance concept development within calendar and budget parameters.
* Manage and/or complete the development of Product Spec Packages for timely delivery to Sourcing.
* Legal clearance of product names, legal info., product and lifestyle photography, sewn in labels/bedding law labels.
* Release of completed package files to Sourcing - Liaise with QA Dept. to insure compliance with all safety requirements and understand testing protocol.
* Manage product approval process from 1st sculpt/proto/sample to Consent to Ship sample including approval of materials, colors, s/o¿s etc.
* Monitor weekly sales performance for all categories
