This position serves as tree and plant health care technician with the primary responsibility of monitoring, evaluating, and providing plant health care needs on client properties. The individual will be responsible to handle most routine pest-management operations. Practices and has a basic understanding of plant science and above-average plant and pest diagnostic identification skills. Will be expected to have proficiency in the identification, deficiencies, and problem solving skills of plants and trees. In some cases submits various types of soil samples to be sent in for diagnostic purposes. Follows directions from PHC Coordinator of various scheduled work orders to be completed. Ensures that all company policies regarding safety, storage, and handling of all herbicide, fungicide, and pesticide spray products are followed. Is familiar with products and techniques used to maintain plant health and tree care. Thoroughly understands and practices the correct mixing ratios and transportation procedures of chemicals and organics.
