Responsibilities
Direct, manage and control all material related functions necessary to profitably sustain diverse manufacturing facilities including warehouse operations, production scheduling and control, and inventory management in more than one site.
Direct all warehouse operations including purchase, receiving and shipping material movement and handling, inventory accuracy and transactional integrity.
Manage master scheduling and inventory control functions. Accountabilities include development, measurement and achievement of inventory targets.
Master scheduling activities including monitoring and controlling changes in demand as it relates to available material and capacity.
Develop processes and policies that optimize material flow, labor and inventory management as well as asset utilization using Lean management tools.
Hire, train, develop and retain a strong materials team to efficiently and effectively perform the materials functions and achieve its stated goals.
Establishes training and development goals for materials personnel to meet the future needs of the corporation.
