Material Coordinator 1 or 2 (L) · Torrance, CA
This is a part time temporary on-call position with no benefits associated with it.
Work location is Torrance California.
Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.
Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material.
Arranges for in-plant transfer or materials to meet production schedules.
May compute amount of material needed for a specific job orders.
May move or transport material from one department to another using handtruck or industrial truck.
May provide guidance to lower level employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Level 1: Minimum, HS + 1 year experience
Level 2: Minimum, HS + 4 years experience
Sound judgment in selecting and following procedures
Attention to detail
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Must be able to operate warehouse equipment, i.e. handtruck
Must be a U.S. Citizen
