The Vice President, External Relations will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the strategic plan for fundraising in Santa Barbara. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Vice President, External Relations to develop strategies to drive success and join the Vice President of Communications as partners for articulating messages to convey to the philanthropic community.  Additionally, the VP, External Relations will lead in the development of strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift donors and private family foundations.   Please note that this is a part-time position.

Required Skills

A Bachelor’s degree in writing, journalism, communications, public relations and/or equivalent experience is required.  I addition, this position requires, previous demonstrated success and a proven track-record in cultivating donors, and closing on gift requests.
