Harmonix is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to manage production web servers and back-end game servers. This person is part of a three person operations team, with a primary focus on the production environment. The team is also responsible for managing servers in the development, QA and staging environments.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to go the extra mile to get projects done on-time and correctly. Since this is an operational support role that works closely with other groups, good communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
* Manage high-volume public apache web servers
* Be involved in the 24x7 emergency response process
* Perform website updates and back-end code releases as required by development team
* Work with other team members to build a highly scalable environment
* Work with other team members to create process automation to speed code deployments and automate common tasks
Required Qualifications:
* 4+ years of Linux system administration experience
* Experience with managing and building large public facing services
