Job Summary
The USA based DC network has 9 highly automated and mechanized centers that utilize a combination of voice and radio frequency technology, bar coding / scanning capabilities, pick-to-light systems, slotting optimization systems, WMS, engineered standards, and high-speed outbound conveyor / sortation systems. The network operates with over 200 managers and 2,100 non-union associates that grows to as many as 4,000 associates during the peak holiday selling season. In addition, the network includes a large modern private fleet with over 300 drivers, 220 tractors, and 2000 trailers.
The Vice President, Distribution is responsible for planning, directing, and leading the operational functions and distribution strategies of the store retail DC network. The ideal candidate should have experience managing multi-location big box DC's in a season oriented, fast paced field environment. In addition, this individual must understand best-in-class distribution practices for competitiveness of our businesses as well as ensure that our associates continue to be a highly motivated group.
