Burnham Institute for Medical Research, a leading non-profit biomedical research institute is seeking a Senior Vice President of Business Development (SVPBD) to develop and implement strategies for maintaining and expanding revenue streams that complement the organization’s strong track-record of performance in obtaining scientific and biomedical research grants and contracts. The SVPBD is responsible for leading the functions of Business Development, Intellectual Property, and Communications across all Burnham sites of operation. This role will work closely with the External Relations department that handles all philanthropic endeavors and Board Relations. The SVPBD will report directly to the President & CEO, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), will work closely with the CEO, EVP of Scientific Affairs, Directors of Burnham's five research centers, and other senior leadership to increase the profile of BIMR to a national level as well as serve as a spokesperson and representative of the Institute. The SVPBD will also interface with the Institute's Board of Trustees.
