CIVIL ENGINEERING AND LAND SURVEYING FIELD PARTY CHIEF:
Supervise a field party engaged in precise and accurate measurement of boundary, control network, construction, and hydrographic surveys under the direction of a professional land surveyor (PLS) and professional civil engineer (PE).

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Use and care of survey instruments, tools, and equipment; knowledge of applicable laws, rules, principles, practices, and procedures of civil engineering and land surveying; knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Exercise of judgment using principles, guidelines, procedures, laws, and manuals to determine the best approach to data collection and staff assignment, without immediate access to a supervisor in land surveying and civil engineering field operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
